On the eastern slopes of the Canadian Rockies, within easy driving distance to Calgary and Banff, and at the end of a dead end road, Sunglade Ranch is ideally situated for ample rainfall and Alberta sunshine. 165 acres of treed pasture with beaver ponds and the Bergen Creek bordering the south perimeters provides natural shelter and tremendous nutrition for our equine athletes.

Every horse on the ranch grows up and is maintained on a specialized supplement program.  Our young horses are all ridden through the woods as part of their training. 

Climbing over deadfall, seeing elk, moose and deer on a weekly basis, gives them a maturity seldom seen in young horses. Our careful training program starts the day they are born, with our yearlings being lunged, clipped, and hauled, often with Daddy Bubba providing a stablizing influence. The combination of intelligence, heart and kind disposition that these babies inherit from the sire combined with the gradual  and varied training program supervised by trainer Arnie Hein, makes the progeny of Sunglade Ranch an unbeatable value.

We do not target 3 year old futurities. If we have one that is doing well, it may be taken out and ridden carefully through a pattern for experience. Our objective is to provide our clients with a solid, long term investment.
